O’Reilly Group Training Centre
We have just completed our Group’s new in-house training centre located in our O’Reilly Barleystone facility in Co. Cavan. The centre will facilitate and assist in the training and learning of all employees across the O’Reilly Group. Training courses such as manual handling and toolbox talks will be held in this new centre.
Our health and safety team created a quiet and bright learning environment to ensure all participants can utilise the space to aid in the progression of their careers.
The Group’s training centre will be a key element in the development of the skills and knowledge of our staff. Apprenticeships, trainees and recruits will complete their necessary training in this location allowing them to flourish in their field of work.

GENERAL OPERATIVE
General Operative – Barleystone
Company Overview:

O’Reilly Barleystone is a leading manufacturer of high-quality paving and masonry products, serving the construction industry across Ireland and the UK. Our product range includes paving bricks, flagstones, masonry blocks, kerbs, and decorative stone, all produced to the highest standards.
Description:
O’Reilly Barleystone is currently recruiting a General Operative to join the team at our Barleystone Paving Factory (Barleystone Paving, Bailieboro Road, Kingscourt, A81 D667).
The role involves supporting production operations to ensure the efficient manufacture and handling of paving and masonry products and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Production team to meet daily and weekly production goals.
- Carry out duties to meet agreed deadlines, as per instructions.
- Assist in the handling, packaging, and transportation of paving products within the factory.
- Maintain high standards of product quality by inspecting items and reporting any defects.
- Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance of work areas, machinery, and tools to ensure a safe and organised workplace.
- Participate in stock control and inventory management, ensuring raw materials and finished goods are accurately recorded.
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or production environment is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours and ability to meet production deadlines.
